Action Against Hunger Fundraising Success

Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger each year providing lifesaving treatment for 6.4 million malnourished children and their families.

This great charity held a fundraising evening on the 6th October at 1 Lombard Street, London, where over the last five years this event has raised over £700,000, helping Action for hunger in their tireless fight.  This year the event raised £200,000 which will be Aid Matched by the UK government, enabling a £400,000 grand total.

We donated our Appleby’s Cheshire and Appleby’s Smoked cheese for the evening’s entertainment, where World renowned chefs Andrew Fairlie (Restaurant Andrew Fairlie), Claude Bosi (Hibiscus), Phil Howard(The Square) and Tom Kerridge (The Hand and Flowers)  created a unique four course dining experience.

Guests were treated to a Champagne Taittinger reception with Wright Brothers' Rock Oysters,Brindisa Iberico Ham, a selection of olives from Cheese Cellar and Appleby's Jubilee Cheeses.
